What a whirlwind of last couple weeks! I thought a last minute idea of raising donations with a few rakhis and bracelets would be good… boy was I wrong! I ended up making nearly 100 of them. With Kaya’s help in making and in selling them we were able to raise close to $300. All proceeds were donated to help Millburn Inspire – a local non-profit who supports surrounding hospitals in various programs.
I am both happy and exhausted. I am so grateful to the community that supported us and purchased the rakhis to celebrate Rakshabandhan.
Stamps and stencils from Indian stamp companies like Craftangles /HNDMD and Mudra were perfect to make these little threads of love even more special.
